Are you a person that has an idea, vision, goal and/or sense of direction you would like to head towards but struggle with taking those necessary steps to get you closer to it? Knowing what steps to even take? Staying on track or following through with your intentions?
Maybe you want to be a better parent/partner/employee? Maybe you are finally ready to embark on a career change? Maybe you recognize what’s needed to live your best life but simply struggle with knowing where to start or how to keep things moving?
Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do, long after the mood you said it in has left you.
As your coach I help you remain loyal to your commitment that you have identified for yourself. For many people it is often easy to identify all the things you want to change or wished you had but when it comes to taking the steps to get you closer to these things, that is often times when people give up due to loss of interest or they run into too many barriers and lose motivation. The problem for most people is that they struggle with staying committed to the process and/or trusting the process.
Coaching is NOT therapy. Coaching is ideally for those who already recognize and have come to terms to their limitations and/or barriers and would like to find ways to move past them in order to achieve their goals. Through my experience as a therapist I noticed that for many people who were able to resolve and gain understanding of their past they would run into a wall of, “what now?” I feel as though that is when coaching can be most effective.
As an accountability coach I provide support to those that need help staying focused and on track of their goal. One of our first tasks will be identifying specific goals you would want to work towards. From there I work with my clients on breaking down their goals into achievable steps. Then I check in with my clients to ensure they are moving towards accomplishing the steps and work with them to figure out how to overcome any barriers they might run into.
As a parenting coach I provide support and guidance on alternative ways to parent their children. I do not tell you how to raise your child, based on the goals you identify you wish to accomplish as a parent I personalize our coaching sessions to help you attain these goals. Examples that some parents seek parenting coaching for are to improve communication with their child, increase more quality interaction, developing healthier boundaries, and creating and following through with healthy disciplinary approaches.
Mindfulness is a skill. It is also a term that has been tossed around so much due to the amount of research that supports the fact that mindfulness is an essential component to overall happiness. Unfortunately, we do not live in a society that is conducive for mindfulness which is why it is very difficult for people to master this skill. However, that doesn’t mean it is impossible. Like any skill that you want to master, it requires intention and consistent practice. As a mindfulness coach I work with my clients on incorporating mindfulness into their everyday life.
